The Owners - Yes, There Really Is A Johnny (there's also a Mrs. Johnny)!

We are Johnny and Tressa Chadwick. Johnny has been in the nursery industry since 1977. He started at Green Arrow Nursery in the city of Sepulveda. He later became a California Licensed Contractor in the mid-1980's. He retired from landscaping in 2005. However, his love for plants kept growing until there was no room in our backyard and we had to find a place to share his love of plants. Before I knew it, the love that Johnny had for plants had taken root in me. So, we went to the local farmers market and introduced a variety of plants that the local community had not seen along with prices that were amazing! Not only could people afford to buy one plant, they could buy 5 or 6 at time!

We decided to open our own nursery. After searching for what seemed an eternity, we found our present location:

The Retail Location

Johnny's Nursery® has been open to the public in our current location since April 2006. And in all actuality, we opened the nursery for the homeowner. Johnny's Nursery® is a full service nursery with plants that are locally grown in our nursery. Since we are the growers, our plants are fully acclimated to our weather. We do not use hot or green houses. Since we grow our own plants, we are able to offer wholesale prices which are 50-90% below retail nurseries and garden centers.

The Growing Yard Location

Johnny's Nursery® becoming evermore popular with the homeowners, we decided to expand our growing capability in September 2010 and moved the majority of our propagation operation one mile east of the retail location to the old dairy on San Timoteo Canyon Road. Doing so has allowed us to continue to grow more of the staple plants along with adding new varieties every year.

• Because we grow our own plants, we offer an incredible variety of plants, from vegetables and fruit trees for your garden, to shrubs and shade trees. We also offer ground cover and annuals.
